Mike grew up on that crawfish farm in Branch, and started out in the seafood business with his brother Mark in 1983 while still in college with a small crawfish farm. By 1989 he was harvesting, selling and delivering crawfish in the back of his pickup truck each day. A friend in Dallas provided entree to the Metroplex’s restaurants, and before long, Mike was making real progress selling his Louisiana crawfish directly from his ponds to restaurants in Texas.
Mike is a hands-on problem solver who loves to analyze all aspects of the business. He’s an avid golfer, and a true Louisiana outdoorsman: he loves fishing at Toledo Bend, and is also a great duck and goose hunting guide. But he never really stops working: he uses the time outdoors to clear his head and come up with work-related solutions. He lives in Crowley, Louisiana with his wife and three children.
