Answers

Where are y'all located?

We are located on our farm in Branch, Louisiana, right in the heart of Cajun Country. We're located in a central part of the state, and near the center of the south. We can ship live and delicious crawfish right to your front door no matter where you're from.

Do you send directions on how to cook them?

Complete directions are included in every shipment. You can also print out the directions here. It's easier than you would think.

How big are they?

Check out our Big Crawfish.

Will they show up alive?

Guaranteed. We take our live crawfish guarantee very seriously. Call us immediately once your crawfish arive if you run into any problems at all. We need to know if something went wrong so that we can prevent any issues for other customers in the future.

Do we pick them up at airport?

No, they will be delivered direct to your door by FedEx. Our crawfish are shipped in specially designed containers meant to keep them alive during the trip to your home or business. Live crawfish are better and taste better once boiled.

Is the spice included?

Spice is included free in every live crawfish shipment. You can add more to your order, but there is plenty to season your pot, because we increase the amount of seasoning dependant on how many pounds of crawfish you order.

How to peel crawfish?

Have Mike show you how to peel in this video. Mike Frugé is the owner of Cajun Crawfish and Frugé Seafood, a seafood wholesaler. He knows his stuff!

Do you have any Mardi Gras stuff?

We have masks, invitations, and lots of extra party supplies.

We’ve never done this before. Is it easy?

You need an outdoor area and of course a pot and burner, but with the right equipment and our instructions, you can’t mess it up.

When’s the season?

There is no legal season, but we start shipping as soon as we feel the crawfish can make the trip, usually mid-January until late June. Here's more information.

When’s the best time to order?

We think the prime time for crawfish is March, April, and May.

Can I hold them overnight?

Yes, you can. See our instructions.

Should I put them in water?

No, you should not submerge crawfish in water once we have shipped them. They can be stressed and may drown. Yes, crawfish can drown, especially in still water. See our instructions for care and handling.
