Question & Answer: How deep is a crawfish pond?

Not too deep at all, really. Typically, our ponds are only about 12 to 18 inches deep, with a max of about two feet. This depth works for our land and the way our ponds are constructed. The water could be deeper and the mudbugs wouldn’t mind, but crawfish don’t thrive in really shallow water.
